  1. Atavism just leveled up!!!! Thanks Team for this great release. Thanks for all your hard work to give this to us. Thanks Neo selling Atavism to these guys so we can further along Atavism. Its been a long haul but testing some of the new features I'm totally impressed with the end result. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I don't think you understand. The level cap to 10 is not hard coded. you need to go in the Atavism plugin in unity and add your level s and how much exp to get to the next level. You can add 100000 levels if you want. There is nothing stopping you. You will need to delete the levels in your data base if you want to run with no levels how ever.
  4. What I think is funny is in the begining they were only going to have a few plugins. As time moved on more and more stuff got added to the list. If anything everyone should be greatful to Jacques, Andrew and Jean for there hard work and time given to this project. From a basic frame work to levels, skills, crafting system, Mail system, Nav Mesh, Quests, loot drops, sales npc, Mounts the list goes on and on. You will not find any other engine out there that will offer all this for the price. Not only that the ones out there want you to code everything yourself. ( Esenthel engine, Hero Engine.. on and on). Atavism is in Beta. Everyone knows that. This is one of the strongest engines I have worked with. The server never errors out its always Unity. There is a steep learning curve if you haven't used Unity before. And even if you have used it you still get caught now and then with issues. That's just part of it. I would suggest to ask nicely on skype or in chat and I'm sure someone can help you with your problem. The community has been nothing but fantastic. Take Thomas he has spent countless hour helping people and not getting a dime. There are good people here that are willing to help. If you get frustrated take a deep breath and walk a way for a day. Then come back! You'll do alot better. Trust me on this, You can do great things with Atavism its just a matter of learning all the in and outs of it. and that takes a lot of time. BTW.. I know Alan he's actually a nice guy that has helped a lot of people in the past as well, including myself. You get more with Sugar...
  5. This is not your solution. They had models Thomas posted them and he couldn't get them to work. Every race is just the same uma model even the ears are from uma. all the faces everything in this pack is what you get free. The only thing you get a some code to be able to add in races to Atavism. Jac is going to give you that free. I'm just trying to save you money because your not getting anything that will let you do what you want. When we bought the pack I was under the Impression like you are now we would get these very good looking models. That's what was posted on there forums. You won't get that. They took all that down because like what you want to do you can't. So Thomas isn't even using his pack or uma anymore. Best bet is to wait for Neojac if you ask me.
  6. Droptopgames, Are you aware that uma is changing. As we move toward unity 5. I'm not sure if this race pack will work. Not only that we paid a lot of money for this and never seen any updates or anything. As far as we were concerned its a dead project / or false promises. Not to be rude just saying it as it is. Not one update or anything has happend with this. I wouldn't recommend spending any money on this.. It will all change next update. Uma has memory leaks and that is why there changing it all out. I would wait and see what Atavism team comes up with if it were me. "downloads will be available unless we end artforindies." Just my two cents worth.
  7. Hi Ebolinux, So I purchased the race pack and have been very excited to get this pack. The pack was going to release months ago but do to Uma vs old Uma vs Atavism... things had been pushed back. There was a point where I was asking for my money back because I felt it would never be released. Just being honest. So as of Now I received 1 female Goblin and 1 female Dark Elf. So here is my take on the Goblin experience. I received a pack with all the goblin parts and was told that the parts would not be the finished product because parts were raw for testing. I also received full video instructions. ( a first grader could put this together with how well the videos are made other then being out of sink at one point which I know they were working on.) There was special coding that is put in that everyone will receive thanks to this project. ( force save for example ) = ( would be nice to say Thank you to Thomas and Andrew if you get a chance for this extra addon btw. even if you don't buy the pack you will get this.) The Character came in and I was very surprised how nice she looked. I really didn't think I would like a Goblin but she looks very cool. shes about half the size of the humans which brings me to the next point. all the code changes that you make have the ability like humans to adjust how big or small you want stuff. So its really your choice how you want your races to look. So my world builder and I are very pleased with the goblin. Color tone and the look is fantastic as well as all our armor works perfect. Even the asset store stuff. The Dark Elf I was excited to get because I like them. She looks very cool but we ran into a snag which Thomas is going to work on with Fernando ( guy who made Uma ). Her head is a different shade and something about the neck joint. I made her smaller then what Thomas had because I think they should be smaller then Humans I know Female Dark Elves are bigger then Male.. Not sure if I will do that.. LOL.. Haha Anyways.. Bottom line. This project in my opinion is like Atavism to be totally honest. Hes got a good product Its going to be great when its done. What I seen so far looks very good and very promising. Just like Atavism... Just taking longer then expected. I wouldn't do this good of a job if I were to make them myself. If you were going to make your own races you really would just need to worry about the Heads and leave the bodies alone because you can re size them. I'm not sure on future models if the bodies will change but so far they do seem to use the same as the humans so its really the head and ears your paying for but again I don't know what is still to come out. Also the shading and stuff I don't know how much of the texture in the mesh I can really see. Where in a project with great shading and detail you might see more bumps and stuff on the skins. In the end for as much work as all this is... Its a good price for what you get. I'm glad I didn't get my money back and am looking forward to the rest of the pack!

  9. I have ordered these myself and can say that I am Way Excited for these models. I had Sooms take a look at them and they will work with UMA off humanoid extensions. Which means you can put human clothing on them as well as the animations!!! The big part that sold me was the great craftsmanship in the models. I got a chance to see some of the work and They Are Fantastic!!! Just had to add that in, Sorry for hijacking your post.. lol

  11. Well I know for a fact that I am one of them people whining about the voxel. I been bugging them to death about it. So this release is heaven sent as far as I'm concerned. lol. I'll keep you posted on how it is.
  12. I can see to where your coming from. Especially from the fact of other engines with there false promises. I see Atavism being a different breed. I think Neo and he team are not out to take us for all were worth. I think there trying make a new standard in small indie devs. Think about it. They have been building a MMO and on top of that working on making a game engine. That is a huge undertaking. This last patch they set up a system so we can now patch our servers and do not need to start all over. We are having Uma problems so Neo is looking into hiring a coder to work on just UMA so we can have the newest and best Uma experience ( clothing and all ). They put out a road map and have given Great tech support. I even had Sooms look at my Uma stuff with team viewer, I don't know any engine dev to do this. And he is so busy I was just floored. I understand your concern and I think you should wait and see how it goes. I'm all for alpha's and I know there are bugs. I payed eqn a ton of money for there Alpah just to see what it would be like. $200.00 is a great deal and I think there being very honest about all of this. BTW there are not 50 seats left... a ton have been sold. lol. Not to put pressure on you but are you sure? :evil:
  13. I Might be wrong to think this way but here it goes. Minecraft ( with its crapy graphics ) runs a voxel system. I know a guy who has 100 people on his server running from his house. Jarid from realm crappy crafters made a sdk voxel world and ran it from there crappy system. ( not saying much there.) Esenthel Engine has the Ineisis they built. I had 35 people running in that. Its like what Atavism is doing where you can add blocks dig down etc... I had no issue and could of had more players just couldn't find them lol... With how good Atavism server run and this being built specifically for Atavism, As Neo stated getting great frame rates. My best guess is its not going to take a super computer to run it. I could be wrong not really knowing how its built, but it stands to reason. EQN Ran pretty good for me. They thought they had a perfect launch and lifted there emu agreement. I think most of there problems were them not having enough servers or land space. Also did you know some players had 5 claims!!! I was like WTF... So they had some bugs and fixes but it's an Alpha... I think Voxel is the way of the future to be honest. I'm waiting for Blizzard to announce there big new Voxel Wow.. LOL. So anyways I think this is a great deal. I jumped on it the second I seen it posted and saved $85 bucks on top of it. I think what everyone needs to remember that this is an Alpha and your getting a special rate to test and help improve it. If Atavism was release in its current state I could see everyone getting upset. But to be honest were getting updates all the time and things are improving. The voxel system will be the same. Anyways its good to ask all the question. I'm very optimistic about it as you can tell... lol.

    Ya I couldn't agree ore with both you guys. Another thing I was thinking about today as I ran for 15 min to where my castle is.. lol, Is what about Mounts? Are we going to have some type of mount system? Will this be a plug in for later on. I would love to see flying mounts. Anyways just a thought.

    Thats just to Awesome! One of my favorite things about Ultima online was the loot drop system. It would drop random and you never new what to expect. It sounds like we can do something like this with your loot system. Can hardly wait

    Hello, I have been looking though the tool kit. Very Impressive. I have a question/Suggestion. So If I wanted to create Mining lets say. I would go to the Mobs tab/Create a new mob. There I would put in the name Iron Ore. Drag on my game object of my Iron Ore. So far so good. Mob type Normal. // here is where my suggestion comes in and it would be good for mobs as well. It would be great to have a " This mob can be damaged by: -Any types of damage -Crushing -Slashing -Magic and so on... Other? It would be nice to check boxes then you could have a rock elemental that you could say ok you can smash it or use magic to kill it but its immune to slashing piercing and so on. This way we can spawn trees to chop and ores to mine, bushes to harvest and it would respawn. Mobs need special weapons or spells to do damage and so forth. Also where do item drops come in? It would be a great place to add on the bottom Items to be dropped and even more great is a %item chance. Like Item 1. ___________________. how many _______. % chance of drop (1,100) Item 2. ____________________% how many_______. % chance of drop (1,100) I might be missing something but I don't see anything like this in the Atavism Online tool kit. What are your thoughts about this? Thanks
