  1. awesome ill test the plugin, quick question, which admin plugin does this app uses?
  2. Thanks zzbrandon, I am still working at it, a little bit slow tho, due that i am fulltime working with a studio for the past 6 months and it sucks the life out of me so the little to almost none spare time i have left i dedicate to continue on this project. I guess i am still good on time tho, at least to when atavism gets out of beta, looks like atavism might not get a release candidate not until mid next year, it was supposed to be out at the end of this year , but they seemed to change their roadmap so I assume probably mid next year might have a release , so i guess by then i might have something functional with my app with the little time i am investing at it. Thanks for your interest.
  3. Hi AliceD Yes, this project is still alive, I put it on hold for the past few months due of time, i got hired by a game studio for a project so been busy with them and will be for the next few more months to come, but am slowly working on it on my free time, Hopefully I can release something functional by the time atavism gets out of beta. So yes, Iam still working in it, slowly but steady. I'll update this thread with more news as the project grows thanks for asking.
  4. very nice, something like this i was wishing for, will make the kit more robust. as well as moving platforms plugin too, aswell as a waypoint system plugin that can work with them and npc to make them move or patrol to pre set paths including path loops. this will enhance the kit a lot. hopefully this last 2 are aswell in the roadmap too thank you
  5. I think you a little bit confused bro, this is not a unity editor extension or addon or plugin this is a website cms specially tailored for powering game websites in this case for atavism. this will help your client/players to register for the game via the website and check or view characters created, view current character ingame items/equipment. buy items or microtransactions etc.. now all item creation /prefabs etc..... you create them via unity editor not this framework, hope this answers your question
  6. was not awere of that, looking forward for the tutorial thanks
  7. yup, you need to synch network the door animation so other players can see, the way you have is only client side, so no multiplayer feature. I wish atavism devs can build a plugin for miselaneus networking stuff, where an object can easily be networked acrossed the network and synch animations and waypoint settings ie: door like yours without to be an actual mob or npc or ie: moving platforms too. etc.. not sure if handling the door as an actual npc or mob and disable patroling and disable killable etc... might work, not sure but you can give it a try and post results here. cheers
  8. No problem cube, no hard feelings, sometimes things dont go how they plan, specially in the code programming industry, that is why there is real life estimate product delivery and then there is programmer developer estimated time. both sound the same but 2 very different results. pretty much it is a known fact in the code developer industry. but I appreciate your honesty, sorry to hear you wont be buying. good luck to you too.
  9. thanks for your interest, well, i pretty much got the main cms done by now, mostly the base complete cms framework finished, basically it can power up any sort of website, eCommerce, personal, etc...... i am just bug fixing, styling , final touches etc... but the base core is done. once i finish the styling, bug fixings etc..... it can be used for any kind of website, so then after that, i will start coding the atavism related modules to add the game related addons or plugins ie: display account game characters, inventory, purchase items to be mailed or used ingame etc.... but that will come after base cms for regular website is completed. getting closer. one thing tho, not a show stopper or anything like that, but fortunately, I have been hired by a well known big ass game studio to work on a new mmo title, yesterday i signed the contract paperwork, cant say names yet, due of NDA, so the drawback of that is ill not be able to invest full time on this cms project anymore like i used to before 24/7 for 7 months straight now. but will still finish it little by little on my spare time after new job work schedule, good deal is i am glad that i got the hardest base core framework done, so the rest will be a ride in the park. I wish i could of got it all done and released by now, but have to refill my savings account back up again after all this 7 long winter months cms project job i spent. so it is a releaf for me going back to work, i can more relaxed invest leisure time on bug fixing and styling and creating the atavism modules without a pressure of releasing an unfinished or bugged anticipate release to get revenue, so now i feel more relaxed and investing just leisure spare time in my baby cms project to polish it little by little. maybe I will do a custom front end theme design layout job using my cms app to some one requesting it incase someone inquires for it, before releasing a default generic theme design layout for the masses. I am not sure yet, i need to settle down first on my new job and depending on how much spare time left ill see and will post here. anyways I am still working at it, now is the bug fixing and styling but slowly due of new job, but development is still active and soon will be a release. those in a rush or need for a base cms framework that will eventually will have atavism server module can contact me privately and we can come to an agreement soon. good day.
  10. ohhhh, almost forgot to mention a feature, which i like a lot and most cms systems outhere fail to achieve.. -a really really fast framework, ofcourse and expected since it was built ontop of codeigniter php framework :-) plus using smarty template engine for content cache and frontend theme design.
  11. thanks for the vote Alan still working hard at this. so far got most of mechanics. -doing final touches on admin backend panel -dashboard with statistics from store, users visitors etc..... -got most modules from a website needed features done ie: 1-shopping store module: can handle recurring subscription payments , 1 time payment, digital download products, paid members private website content feature too, non digital products with shipping module, several payment gateways paypal among them ,invoices, coupons system, taxes system, shopping cart etc......... 2- front end website tools on admin panel ie: menu manager, static pages manager, blog manager, event calendar manager, gallery pics manager etc....... 3- members management system ie: ad new member, delete, edit. usergroups for allowing different features or benefits to each usergroup. good for subscription levels ie basic, pro, etc.... 4- website reports ie: product orders, subscriptions, cancellations, taxes, registrations, popular content, etc.... cvs comma delimited export tools for downloading reports and converting to exel docs etc.... 5 website theme manager for importing new front end theme design etc.... theme editor too. 6- website logs report ie: website activity logs, who logged in, who did what and where ip address coming from, browser used etc...... 7 modules manager, enable , disable, install etc..... 8- search module for meta searching all website content from any page, ie: static pages, blogs etc.... 9- website configuration and settins panel, very detail featurewise. ie: emails predefined responses, ie: new member welcome email, member validation, new registration, forgot password etc...... 10- cronjobs for payment automation system, cancellations, subscription, downgrade upgrade user groups etc.... 11- phpbb forum module bridge for seamlessly authenticate all website members to use phpbb forum etc..... where you can make it look as part of the cms site. 12- secured and protected the cms against any sort of sql injections, crosssite scripting etc.... focused a lotttttta time and effort on tightening this area up like a vault as much as i could and knew. did a token system for all website forms and input fields to tighten security. all this among athers. phew, lottta work, more than i thought it would be, 7 months straight full time non stop, pretty much all winter, but finally taking shape. i need to finish this soon and start making sales, my savings are running low by now :-) now, pretty much got the basic website fundamentals done, meaning it can be use for any regular cms website. i am working now on the default frontend theme demo layout, so once this is done can be use for any website manager. once this is done, I will commercially release for a normal website cms system in general to start generating funds since 7 months been using my savings to create this app. but right after i make it public available to purchase as a regular website cms i will start creating the atvism modules for managing ingame members, new registrations, automated game subscriptions, game time, trials, viewing account ingame characters, inventory, purchasing items for ingame use etc........ so still working at it, will probably do an early adopter special for those who want to start and work on their website managing their content stuff, then when i get done with atavism modules will get them to those early adopters for free. something of that nature. soon will post a demo so people can see front end and backend features. cheers
  12. I dont think it has any sort of compatibility, first time i heard of Oxwall actually. nice tool and open source good to know that. will look at it later on and see if we can find a good usage for this cms. but that will be way after i get done all i need to acomplish with the current project so its gonna take a while that i will even look at the setup and find a usage for it. cheers
  13. thanks for the support guys, i am still working at it, full time, been doing it since Oct 2014 so so far has been 5 months full time non stop dev'ing this nice tool. if all goes as planned and dont hit a brickwall, i may have a beta release by mid March or late of it. cheers
  14. awesome, so it is a decal underneath target then.. is it available in the current 2.3 release already?
  15. yup, ive seen it, but it is a fresh new version, usually later down the road here will be bugs, unseen security risks etc.... so i decided to go for the very last proven stable and secured release., you just cant beat that when it comes to stable secure etc... so for now maybe when 3.1.3 is well seasoned and patched and stable enough ill try to update. sorry , not being hardheaded, just going with what really is proven stable and secured and working version atm. beside v 3.0.13 latest release update was just made in Jan 15 2015 and probable will be maintained longer, so we not even slightly outdated at all. cheers
  16. no, it wont be hardcoded. you can specify in the config file where you want your atavism db server to connect to, local host or any other remote ip address. there will be 2 databases SEGMENT configuration, 1 for the actual cms db and the other for the atavism, server. but only stating i will not recommend opening remote db connections at all. and i will only be refering in this thread with lcocal connections, since most would like to avoid a security hole, therefore i will not be endorsing or promoting remote sql connections, just local, but it is up to the user to determine their security settings and who he gives access to or not. i am not going to support, recommend or even discuss anything related to remote sql connections dbs. that is all. so it will be left to the end user to do what they need to do, under their own risk, i think if people if their know what their doing and how to propertly setup a secure environment and clusters, they can get away with it. but most dont, it is a very technical setup , so again I WILL NOT RECOMMEND thus will not even promote or support anyhting recommende, suggestion etc.. related to it. but i will be there for end user to do how they wish under their unsupoted own risk at least unsuported from my end.. it is a huge NO, NO in my dictionary for non technical individuals or even for well seasoned IT staff, it is a complex thng to setup or deal with when it comes to clusters setup, propertly setup secure remote connections etc... so hope this answers your question and concerns. In short "I WILL NOT BE SUPPORTING OR SUGGESTING REMOTE SQL CONNECTION SETUPS". but if you read above then you know you will be not crippled to a hardcoded setup. so the coice is yours. :-)
  17. that is something i am debating, i can have it both ways but if ran from other server your server wont interact with exterior dbs, unless you configure sql server to accept exterior connections which is a great security risk and i do not recommend it. the safest way to have server db interaction in a separate hardware node is for you to manually backup and restore dbs in the cms server or vise. but will not be current uptodate info. maybe if you do it a couple of times per day if you have the time. for now the current setup will be to have it installed in the same where server db is at so both can have a realtime up to date info. later down the road will need to think on something more robust without having to expose the server db or cms db by opening sql connectivity from remote locations.
  18. awesome, i am currently testing a phpbb integration i am working on, seems to be working along great, current version tests are with phpBB-3.0.13-PL1 last release from january 2015 for those who like phpbb. so far when you login to the CMS website it wil automatcally log you in with phpbb forum aswell, same applies to logout or register etc... so far looking good.
  19. was reading on roadmap Target highlight is pending to be added for v2.3 was wondering if along with it to be nice if ring around the target decal in the terrain or ground floor or a custom decal image to the target that can easily be added aswell, if not too much trouble? foe instance to have a check if the target is friend/enemy or neutral faction to show its predefine decal is this possible to push in together with pending target highlight for 2.3? thanks again.
  20. ohh boy, ohh boy, ohh boy, it is tougher than i though it was. :-) but not impossible, mainly the job is ok, but it is very very time consuming, been working on it non stop for almost 4 months and i finally can see the little tiny light at the end of the tunnel. So, i am still working at it. soon will have something nice to show. i noticed, someone else jumped in aboard and will be releasing something similar, awesome news to me, since i dont have to worry about making several versions, i can just focus on the deluxe version with top quality modules and addons etc.. just how i like it to be for myself since eitherway it is a need for myself and going to be made aswell for my own usage too. so the low end will be scratched out, at least from the getgo. unless requests tell otherwise. cheers
  21. ok, just a quick update , as mentioned before, been working on admin backend for quite a while now, just making sure all bells and whistles fall in place aswell as the security layers. so far i am happy how it has turned out. after this next will be the styling/skinning the admin backend. which is the fun part more relaxing than coding :-) hopefully ill have something to show off by end of month or early Feb. cheers.
  22. thanks for your feedback and vote. this is why i opted to ask the community with the poll on what price range the community is willing to invest into something like this. this will give me an idea on how basic or complex feature and module wise depending on what the community is willing to pay for. for example, if the community opted for a top priced item, then i would need to do a very feature rich and robust system with lots of modules addons etc.. so whoever is willing to invest top dlls for it will get a top high end product. lets say some devs do not need all the bells and whistles and just a basic startup system where they can add they own custom modules and features then they wont have to pay the full price for it, but the basic price. seems that this poll is showing both the high end and the basic way, no inbetween. so makes me think i should do a 2 version release, basic and pro. this way whoever wants the basic setup for them to build their own custom modules and features they can purchase the basic setup and for those who want all the addons and modules and bells and whistles then they can purchase the pro version so they wont have to worry about php programming etc... or maybe once basic price and put the modules sold separate so this way everyone can pick only what they need or want. i dont know, it is just some early ideas , i will have to rethink this once i have enough votes and something close to deliver. i still need to make this as much accessible for everyone as possible. thanks again.
  23. thank you, ill try to do my best. been working on the admin backend, seems to be gaining shape. probably end of january or early Feb will have something to show. cheers
  24. Thanks Neo, I have put up a poll for every1 interested to speak their minds :-) EDIT 01-12-15: With the help of Neo from Atavism, i have put a poll so all the interested parties in this CMS web app for atavism can vote and name a fair price for the work ill be doing. please be advised the price tag you choose will help give me an idea of what you needs are and how complex/robust or feature rich you want the CMS to include, or how exactly to market it in the community the vote does not automatically mean the exact final price or plan that the project will have, but to help me see what the community want or an aprox price on the final project. I ll try to include as many features as i can depending on everyones budget by voting your price selection. depending on this vote ill try to make it as fair and available to everyone interested
  25. @AliceD well, i thought about it, since this is not going to be a ride on the park or a simple plugin where you just do 1 page of scripting, this will be a very undertaking task, ofcourse even tho with the help of the php framework library and existing resources available for it will still be a large task to fulfill from my side, specially the interface bridge between the cms db to atavism db to automate all web transactions etc.. Initially i started this project just for my own website automation system since i am a commercial web developer by official profession for the past 10 years, this is the least i could do for my game project using atavism, but then I thought why now make it available to Atavism community since the community might have my same needs regarding this web app so i thought I will probably sell it for those who like and are interested in my work, that way i ll be more than happy to make the cms website project shine and at the same time be rewarded monetarily by the community for my work done. the price i still dont know yet, i am a true believer of community input, aswell as indie/individual developer price range, so for those of you interested on it will help me try to put a fair price tag to the work i am investing on it, so far been 2 months of nonstop work getting the foundation of the cms together, but once i get that sorted out, the rest features will be a whole lot easier and quicker since the features will be added modular wise, like plugins where they independently do their job for the website without needing other dependencies. so i think ill do a poll and see what the community thinks about it. hopefully, there will be enough interest so it will make it worth my while and work invested and help me make it accessible to all of you. would really appreciate your input. regards EDIT: I did not see an option on this thread to add a poll :-( so a message to all community interested on this app for your Atavism server just name your price that you think will be fair for the above cms and features you think is worth to you, that way i can consider your opinions and make it indie price friendly.
